Ömer Yavaş, the Turkish basketball player of "Absheron", wants to stay in Azerbaijan for a long time.
"Report" informs that he said this in a statement to the club's press service.
Ö.Yavaş emphasized that he adapted to the country in a short time:
"I adapted to Azerbaijan in a very short time. I met wonderful people. I want to play for a long time in such an atmosphere, in a country where I am valued. I hope that managers and head coaches also think positively about me in the same way."
The basketball player does not want the season to end soon:
"We showed a good game as a team. If we fight like this next time, our chances of winning will increase. We don't want the season to end soon, and therefore we are doing our best to move forward as much as possible."
He also expressed his opinion about the last match against "Nakhchivan" in the play-off stage:
"This is a critical match for both teams. Therefore, it will be a beautiful and at the same time tense match. Personally, I will do my best. If we act as a team, we will overcome any difficulty. We have proven this during the season."
Ö.Yavaş shared his thoughts about Azerbaijani basketball:
"I didn't have much impression until I came here. After coming, I saw that there was good competition. Locals or legionnaires fight to the end on the parquet. Very valuable coaches and players perform in the league. The Azerbaijan Basketball League is a championship that should be valued."
