Norwegian skier Astrid Slind burned her bib in protest against the reduction of prize money for women at the "Janteloppet" race.
According to "Report", citing "SVT Sport", the prize fund of the race was initially set at 1 million Norwegian kroner (82,000 euros).
It was also reported that the payments for the winners of the men's and women's races would be the same - 200,000 kroner (16,000 euros) each.
However, before the start of the race, the organizers announced that the prize money for women would be reduced by more than three times, to 60,000 kroner, due to the small number of participants.
In response, A. Slind burned her bib and shared these moments on social media.
It should be noted that "Jantelopped" is founded by two-time Olympic champion and 13-time world champion Petter Northug.
