A minibus carrying a children's football team crashed in Kazakhstan.
According to Lent.az, citing local media, the team was traveling from Pavlodar to Astana for a game. The driver incorrectly overtook a truck, and the bus overturned.
The minibus contained 16 children aged 14-16, as well as a coach accompanying them. The athletes were taken to a medical facility for assistance and are under medical supervision. The coach died at the scene.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the accident, and all necessary investigative actions have been initiated.
It was also noted that the football players trained at a private sports school. It was reported that the management did not inform the police officers in advance about the upcoming trip, and therefore the necessary escort of patrol units was not provided. An investigation has also been launched into this incident.
