Xabi Alonso is still seen as a potential successor to Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Bayer does not intend to keep Xabi Alonso at the club.
It is noted that against the background of rumors about Carlo Ancelotti's imminent dismissal, it is increasingly likely that the head coach of Bayer will be brought in to replace him.
Alonso himself has so far refused to comment on a possible transfer, trying to focus on the tasks of his current club.
The Bayer management, in turn, understands that they will not be able to compete with Real, and therefore will not interfere with Alonso's departure.
