I am glad that I saw the fruits of my labor.
"Report" reports that this was said in a statement to journalists by Hasrat Jafarov, the Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler who won a gold medal at the European Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
The wrestler, who achieved success in the 67 kg weight category, said that he was happy to climb to the highest step of the podium:
"I am very happy to be the European champion for the third time in a row. I was constantly continuing my training. Thank God, I saw the fruits of my labor. Being a champion for the third time in a row may seem easy from the outside. But there are many invisible aspects to this job."
He stated that he also wants to win a gold medal at the World Championship:
"I have won silver and bronze medals at the World Cup. I would like to win medals in all competitions. Including, I would like to become a world champion."
It should be noted that Hasrat Jafarov won the gold medal by defeating Abu Muslim Amayev (Bulgaria) in the final. The national team, which completed the competition with a total of 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals, took first place in the team standings with 151 points.
