The Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling team, the winner of the European Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, has returned to homeland.
According to "Report", the plane carrying the team landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
The wrestlers were greeted at the airport by officials of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, representatives of the sports community, and relatives.
It should be noted that the team, which finished the competition with 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals, took first place in the team standings with 151 points. Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg), and Gurban Gurbanov (82 kg) won gold, Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg) won silver, and Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg) and Islam Abbasov (87 kg) won bronze medals.
