Los Angeles, which will host the 2028 Olympics, will be the first city to hold the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in two stadiums.
Idman.biz reports that the LA28 organizers have confirmed that the event will take place on July 14, 2028 at the "Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum" and "SoFi" stadiums.
The "Coliseum", which was also used in the 1932 and 1984 Olympics, will also host the closing ceremony on July 30. This arena will go down in history as the first venue to host events in three Olympic Games.
The opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games will be held on August 15 at the "SoFi" stadium, home to the American football teams "Los Angeles Rams" and "Los Angeles Chargers", and the closing ceremony will be held on August 27 at the "Coliseum".
Details of the opening ceremony, including how each stadium will be used, have not yet been announced.
Athletics competitions will be held in the first week of the Olympics at the "Coliseum", where the "USC Trojans", an American football student team, train.
Swimming competitions will be held at the "SoFi" stadium in the second week of the Olympic Games.
A number of sports that have not been in the Olympic Games for a long time, including cricket, lacrosse and squash, have been included in the LA28 program, and flag football will debut.
