The Azerbaijani stage of "Formula 1" may be moved to a fire-shaped artificial island that will be created as part of the "Sea Breeze" resort.
Idman.biz reports with reference to "Unikal" that this was said by Azerbaijani businessman Emin Agalarov during the presentation of the project to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin at the "Russia - Islamic World: Kazanforum 2025" International Economic Forum.
"This idea is also supported by the President of Azerbaijan," said Emin Agalarov.
Agalarov noted that the fire-shaped island will be the second artificial island to be created within the framework of the project. The first of them is crescent-shaped and work is already underway.
According to the businessman, changing the route line will solve the problem of traffic jams and road closures in Baku.
It should be noted that Baku has been hosting "Formula 1" races since 2017.
