Real Madrid player Antonio Rüdiger has apologized. Sport24.az reports that the defender, in a post on his social networks regarding his attack on the referee and throwing a foreign object at the referee in the final match of the Spanish Cup against Barcelona (2:3) last night, said:
"There is no excuse for my behavior yesterday. I apologize for this and for what I did to the referee. We played very well after the 2nd half. In the 111th minute I was substituted and could no longer help my team. I made a mistake until the end of the game.">
It should be noted that Antonio Rüdiger received a red card in the 120+3rd minute of the match for his actions and may be penalized from 4 to 12 games.
