"Kapaz" footballer: "No one in the club thinks we will leave the Premier League"
No one in the club thinks we will leave the Premier League.
"Report" reports that this was stated by "Kapaz" captain Yegor Khvalko in a statement to the club's press service.
The Belarusian defender spoke about the match with "Araz-Nakhchivan" in the XXX round of the Misli Premier League:
"I think it was a good match. Both we and the opponent had opportunities to stand out. Both sides had a chance to win. We could have won or lost. Looking at the tournament table, the result can be considered normal. You always want to win. But remember that the opponent also wants it."
Despite the 8-point difference, Khvalko believes that the "yellow-blues" have not coped with the task of staying in the elite:
"There are 6 games ahead. It's good to have an 8-point difference. But the championship is not over. We need to score more points to secure our place in the Premier League. We can also climb to higher places in the tournament table. Our point difference with "Sumgayit" and "Shamakhi" is not big. We have to look forward."
He noted that the team's self-confidence is high:
"Players in the team trust each other. No one thinks we can leave the elite. This factor is one of the important features for success. On the contrary, everyone thinks about good games and higher places. Our results improved after the winter break. This gives us reason to think about good things."
It should be noted that "Kapaz" will face "Shamakhi" on the road in the XXXI round of the Premier League.
