Former Italian national team member Antonio Cassano considers Inter's current season to be terrible in terms of results. Sport24.az reports that Inter lost to Roma 0:1 in the 34th round of Serie A under the leadership of Simone Inzaghi. The Milan club is currently in 2nd place in the tournament table with 71 points, 3 points behind the leader Napoli.
In the semi-finals of the Champions League, Inter will play an away game against Barcelona tomorrow.
Cassano criticized Inzaghi and the team's overall performance:
"Even if he actually wins the Champions League, it's still a terrible season. Di Matteo also won the cup, and what happened? He never coached again after that...
For me, his victory will not change anything. What annoys me the most is not the results, but the statements made. I go crazy when I hear some opinions. I immediately remember Mazzarri - he complained that the throw-in was thrown a little further away...
In the last round, there was a clear penalty against Bisce, but Roma should have won 5:0. I can't understand how a team that is objectively stronger than everyone else can cling to throw-ins? All these are just excuses," Cassano said in the "Viva el Futbol" program.
