Brazilian football star Neymar played his first game for his club "Santos" after returning to his homeland.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, he was included in the team and appeared in the second half of the game against "Botafogo-SP", and was eventually named the best player of the match.
After almost 12 years playing for two of the best teams in Europe and a short stint in Saudi Arabia, Neymar has returned to professional football and his native "Santos" club.
The former Barcelona and PSG star came on as a substitute at the start of the second half of the Paulista Championship game against Botafogo SP.
At that point, Santos were leading 1-0. However, the visitors leveled the score after a while, and the game ended in a draw.
"I love my club, there are no words for what I felt when I stepped onto this pitch again. I need minutes and games, I'm not 100 percent ready. I didn't expect to run and dribble so much. I think I'll feel better after 4-5 games."
The Brazilian national team star was named the best player of the match.
Moreover, Neymar played on his birthday, turning 33 on February 5. Last week, the striker completed his move to Santos by signing a 6-month contract.
